CHEESE NOTES

Socheese.fr, “the online magazine for planet cheese”

From France comes an online cheese magazine, socheese.fr, created and written by a group of French food journalists, many of them associated with Profession fromager (www.professionfromager.com), a  print trade magazine for the cheese world. 

In french of course (with a somewhat ineffective English option), but with excellent profiles of cheesemakers, reviews of cheesemongers, articles about the cheese and dairy world, raw milk politics, and much more. Worth checking out, even if you don’t speak French as the photography is pretty great as well (the photo below is from a story from 2009 about a Listeria scare in Quebec and the ways that it impacted cheese makers there).
