Cheese Tasting In Downtown Raleigh

Via the Raleigh Telegram, one of the many events occurring in conjunction with the American Cheese Society annual conference in Raleigh:
RALEIGH – A fun and unique event called “CHEESE PLEASE!” at the Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market will be an interesting opportunity to experience North Carolina’s delicious culinary cheese scene.
On Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 10 am to 2 pm, at City Plaza on the 400 block of Fayetteville Street, the Market will host this local cheese celebration in conjunction with the American Cheese Society’s (ACS) National Conference.
North Carolina’s artisan cheese makers will be highlighted at this event for the national audience of cheese aficionados who will be in downtown for the ACS convention. Market goers will have a chance to win tickets to the ACS Annual Festival of Cheese, a public celebration featuring more than 1,600 competition cheeses on display for tasting alongside craft beers, wines and other specialty foods.
